1973 Mercury Montego

This 1973 Mercury Montego was fielded by one of the last family owned and operated NASCAR Teams in the 70s. It was driven by Dick Trickle in the 1975 Daytona 500, qualifying 27th. Unfortunately, the car was part of a nine-car crash on the third lap and finished 36th out of 40. The car was then stored for 30 years until it was uncovered by Ray Evernham during production of an episode of his television series “Americarna”. The Big Iron Garage Team restored the car back to how it appeared for its debut at Daytona.
