#61 Richie Evans Ford Pinto Modified

This is a restored, all original Ford Pinto modified racecar driven by NASCAR modified legend Richie Evans. Big Iron Garage restored the car for an episode of Ray Evernham's television series “AmeriCarna,” which documented the rivalry between Evans and Jerry Cook in the NASCAR modified series during the 70s and 80s.

A 2012 inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Evans was known as the "King of the Modifieds" for his nine championships in his illustrious 13-year career, and the No. 61 is the only retired number in any NASCAR division. This race winning Ford features a 427 C.I. Big Block Chevy engine with a 4-speed manual transmission.
